Martys Panel & Paint – New Thinking Achievement Award

Business Kapiti Horowhenua (BKH) is a not-for-profit body which organises the Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards, also known as the Electra Business Awards. The Electra Business Awards have been rewarding excellence in the Kapiti Horowhenua region for the last 20 years. This year's awards were held on Friday 8th of November at the Southward Theatre.

The awards evening provided great entertainment for the guests, a dance was performed by Whitireia Community Polytechnic Students along with Beach FMs Corran Crisp being the MC for the evening and performing a song. The Electra Business Awards recognise and celebrate business success whether the business is large or small, profit or non-profit or a government body.  The awards recognise success of businesses throughout many different industries. Success is not the only thing that is recognised; "the Awards also demonstrate how the business community of the Kapiti and Horowhenua area is growing, and how more people see this district as a viable place to set up a business" as said by Pat Dougherty CEO Kapiti Coast District Council.

Martys Panel and Paint who are part of Resene Automotive & Light Industrial's Fleetcare Approved Applicator Network, won the Electra Business Award for 'New Thinking' sponsored by Kapiti Observer/Horowhenua Mail. There were many nominees and four finalists in the 'New Thinking' category and taking out the award is a great achievement and credit to Marty's Panel & Paint.
