Resene Automotive and Light Industrial (RALI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Resene Paints Ltd. The company has a long tradition of providing locally developed high quality paints and coating systems that are cost effective and environmentally sensitive. RALI has an industry leading product offer for commercial transport which is marketed under our Fleetcare branding. We offer a full range of premium paint from DuPont Refinish and a comprehensive range of locally manufactured products including primers, urethanes and enamels, flexible coatings for curtainsiders, rust inhibitors and superior truck wash products.
Our extensive product portfolio is supported by over twenty distributors, on the road technical specialists and over sixty five staff nationwide. We have our own fully equipped training facility with modern spray booth and preparation area in Auckland. We pride ourselves on listening to our customers, understanding their needs and producing practical cost effective solutions. We listen to your specific requirements and needs in developing a custom product specification tailored for you, providing a balance of product quality and cost effectiveness every time.
RALI believes in practical training and support in the market place. With our own training facility in Auckland, and our ten technical specialists we are ready to provide day to day support within each body shop. This means practical advice and training is given on site. We use existing equipment in standard operating conditions to produce a quality job. Working alongside DuPont™, one of the largest worldwide coatings manufacturers, RALI has its own team of chemists working behind the scenes developing and supporting new products and technical expertise utilising the DuPont™ colour laboratory in Riverstone, Australia.

Our national network of Certified Fleetcare Refinish workshops undergoes a rigorous audit to ensure quality of workmanship and product knowledge. All refinish work is covered by a Certified Commercial Refinish Paint Warranty to provide peace of mind for all owners. If work is undertaken at different locations it is important to know that every vehicle will have the exact same colour, and that the paint and workmanship quality is consistent nationwide
Our involvement with DuPont Refinish goes back over fifteen years when RALI took over all sales and marketing activity in New Zealand as the master distributor. DuPont™ Imron® developed in 1972 has constantly been the first choice for truck manufacturers and refinishers worldwide with its 'wet look that lasts' appearance. Imron’s® product offer has improved over the years with new resins and formulations being developed. The latest Imron® development is the Fleet Line Range which continues to offer the ease of application, superior chemical and abrasion resistance whilst retaining that wet look gloss.
Nothing proves the success of paint better than continued use in the OEM marketplace. DuPont™ Imron® is the OEM choice for heavy duty truck, trailer, buses, light aircraft and commercial vehicle manufacturers worldwide. DuPont™ is used at all major international manufacturing plants. For the fleet owner, lease manager and refinisher this means that the same paint is used to repair or re-image a vehicle as that used in the original manufacture, ensuring the same demanding properties as specified by the manufacturer and consistency of colour worldwide.
The essential task of a perfect colour match requires the availability of accurate colour tools ensuring the perfect match any time and every time. At the forefront of colour technology and trends DuPont™ offers Fleet Colour Selectors that set the highest standards of consistent and reliable colour quality. DuPont Chromavision™, the handheld spectrophotometer, can identify a colour by a unique set of values. From these the formula is found from a database of over one hundred thousand. When necessary the DuPont Chromavision™ will adjust to an accurate colour match in the paint quality required.
Hypershield is an extremely fl exible coating with excellent adhesion to most plastics, rubbers and vinyl. This has made it the industry leader in the curtainsider market in Australasia. The product can be used to clearcoat finished curtains for additional protection from road grime and weathering from UV light. Coloured Hypershield can be used for re-imaging and repair. Hypershield has its own well proven Vinylside Basecoat which allows designers access to a wide range of colours including metallics. Hypershield has an extensive history of performance and is recognised as unique in its field.
